The food: Comfort food

Crow Street opened in August 2018 under the guise of "US-inspired soulfood with an Irish twist", but swiftly backtracked after some reviewers called the food confused. They're now going with "classic comfort food", and the menu features dishes like crispy fried buttermilk chicken and braised pork tacos.

"There’s nothing controversial happening inside the walls of Crow Street, nothing to rouse the horses out of droopy slumber, much less startle them. Instead, it’s large plates of comforting food, cooked really well." 8/10.

"It was clear the food needed a lot of sharpening up so perhaps it was no surprise to receive an email a week later to say "we have changed our Head Chef since your visit and will be making changes to our menus."

Tom Doorley, The Irish Daily Mail

"Crow Street seems a bit confused as to what it is. We’ve all been there, as adolescents, but most of us figure it out in the end. For the sake of the utterly delightful staff here, I hope it grows up rapidly."
