The food: Mediterranean
Del Fino gnocchi_edited_edited_edited.jp

Mediterranean/Asian/Irish food which spilt the critics after opening in Autumn 2018, with some calling the food "confused". Chef Alan O’Reilly has a long history working on the Dublin food scene, mostly in the suburbs, and it seems much of his loyal clientele have followed him to Camden Street.

CRITIC REVIEWS

Katy McGuinness, Irish Independent

01 Dec 2018

"The menu is a strange mix of dishes that doesn't read with cohesion. Strange, non-sequitur ingredients pop up here and there, as if no one can decide what the food is supposed to be." Food 5/10. Value 5/10.

Lucinda O'Sullivan, Sunday Independent

25 Nov 2018

"Lobster Fra Diavolo (€36.50), a half lobster augmented with scallops and prawns in a rich sauce, was too good for me to miss, while Mary had a small portion of pappardelle (€8.50) tossed with braised rabbit, which she loved."

Leslie Williams, Irish Examiner

17 Nov 2018

"There were flashes of excellence but this was a hot mess of a meal. Del-Fino needs a massive injection of focus at both front and back of house or they won't survive Christmas." Food 6/10. Value 7.5/10.

Gillian Nelis, Sunday Business Post

04 Nov 2018

"Cabinteely's loss is most definitely Camden Street's gain."
