Artizan Food Co. are currently seeking to recruit talented and experienced Baristas for this Monday to Friday role, primarily daytime hours, based at a client site in North Dock, Dublin.
We seek skilled baristas to join our team of culinary professionals. Baristas are expected to work regular bar shifts, periodically support evening events, perform kitchen prep for specialty beverages, and manage stocking and inventory.
Normal service is from 9-5, Monday through Friday, but will periodically include early opens or late closes, and a very occasional weekend. Schedules will be coordinated accordingly. The program is fully subsidized, so there are no sales.
Responsibilities:
Hospitality is our priority; you will be expected to welcome guests and quickly respond to their needs. You will often be asked to accommodate special requests
You will be expected to execute a beverage menu to standards, including traditional coffee beverages (SCA standards, latte art, etc.), artisan loose-leaf teas, and featured beverages
You will need to communicate efficiently with your barista team, guests, and culinary team
Our safety and security are paramount; you will maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following and carrying out sanitation standards and procedures, aligning with health and legal regulations, and maintaining security protocols
You ensure a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verify all food products are properly dated and organized forquality assurance
As a team player, you keep the station stocked, especially before and during peak operating hours
You help to minimize waste and work with existing systems to improve waste reduction. You will help support evening events periodically
You will need to take orders on a POS system
You will be asked to contribute to our featured beverage program, designing featured seasonal beverages
You will regularly work barista shifts, and adapt to shifting priorities of the floor

Specialty Coffee & Tea interests you and you are following current trends
You are self-motivated, demonstrate initiative, and are able to keep a cool demeanor when priorities shift
You operate with a sense of urgency
You have a sincere interest in hospitality and value teamwork
Qualifications:
You have a minimum of 1 year of Specialty Coffee barista experience and have a deep understanding of espresso preparation, milk steaming and pouring technique, and coffee bar workflow
You have worked special events in your work experience
You have culinary, hospitality, or high-end retail experience
You have or are able to obtain proper food handling certification
Completion of an internal or external barista training program is preferred
