Savoury Sous Chef - Exciting Catering Company - This is a brilliant opportunity for those in search of a work-life balance and seeking career development.

We are currently seeking to recruit a talented and experienced Savoury Sous Chef for this Monday to Friday role, primarily daytime hours, based at a client site in North Dock, Dublin.

Working as part of a small kitchen team of 3 - 5 chefs, the successful candidate will be a key member of the team that will open this unique kitchen, somewhere truly different to any other workspace in


The ideal candidate should be prepared to build strong working relationships with local producers, create menus focused on food provenance and seasonality, and work in a close-knit team who value

positive kitchen culture, creativity and sustainability. The candidate should have previous experience as a senior chef in high quality restaurants and possess a wide array of technical and managerial


The role will involve a range of skills such as planning and delivering on multi-course meals for our 18 seat chef’s table, preparing daily snacks and canapés, and catering for intimate in-house events that

require specific service styles. The candidate should be comfortable in a customer facing role, and be prepared to engage with customers to tell the story behind their food.

Key requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Senior / Sous Chef is essential

  • Experience working in Michelin quality restaurants / 5 star hotels

  • Excellent understanding of Irish produce and seasonality

  • Ability to prepare delicious, beautiful food

  • Ability to manage and run the entire kitchen team and delegate accordingly while being heavily involved

  • HACCP Procedures & regulations knowledge

  • Roster planning

  • Excellent management, leadership & organisational skills

  • Passion for high quality, innovative & creative food

  • Excellent communication skills – fluent English essential

  • Menu development and cost control

  • The ability to train, motivate staff and build a team

  • Have excellent customer service skills

  • Be able to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
