Happy's Bar & Street Food have an exciting opportunity for a CDP/Sous Chef to join our team in a our restaurant in Dublin 2 and further develop their skillset.
Who are we?
Happy's Bar & Street Food is a concept which was born in December 2020 as a pop-up and quickly expanded to multiple locations. We're focused on providing a unique, top class experience for all customers and are now permanently located at Aston Quay, Dublin 2.
We are looking for a chef that is very well organized and able to work on their own initiative to open up our kitchens daily and get them ready for service. Key to this role will be the preparation & production of menu items in time for service.
The role is perfect for somone interested in growing their knowledge of Asian ingredients, condiments and recipes.
Responsibilities include:
Minimum 2 years kitchen experience
Produce batch menu items ready for service
Ensure the over and under preparation of production food is kept to the minimum
To ensure that the kitchen and all working areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times
Keep all food waste to a minimum and to record all waste
Meet the standard of training required by the department
Be aware of the chemicals used in the cleaning of equipment
Report to the Senior Chef or management any defects or damage to equipment
Be capable of working with minimum of supervision and to be able to use ones own initiative
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: €12.50-€14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
