This is a hands-on, multifaceted role at the heart of a progressive food group. The successful candidate will support both retail sales and customer relationships, as well as hospitality operations, events, and consultancy projects. It’s ideally suited to someone with a background in hospitality management, who’s eager to grow into a broader role spanning sales, logistics, and group operations.

You’ll work closely with our Group Operations and Development Manager and CEO, playing an important role in the daily performance and future development

Key Responsibilities

Retail & Sales Support

  • Conduct regular visits to retail stockists to check stock, manage returns, and maintain POS

  • Organise and execute tastings and in-store product activations

  • Build and manage relationships with store managers and trade customers

  • Support new product rollouts, including fresh fish lines and ready meals

Hospitality Operations

  • Provide operational support at The Seafood Café,  Salty Buoy food truck, events and ongoing consultancy operations

  • Take an active role in projects delivered through our consultancy wing, including new site openings, menu development, and operational improvements

  • Assist with production, dispatch logistics, and day-to-day coordination

  • Support a wide range of events, festivals, catering bookings, and brand activations

  • Maintain consistency in service and operational standards across hospitality sites

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work with the operations team on scheduling, procurement, and site logistics

  • Assist with basic reporting, stock tracking, and internal documentation

  • Provide photos and insights from tastings/events to support marketing and PR

  • Ensure alignment between production, service, retail, and leadership teams

Candidate Profile

Essential

  • Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in hospitality management (restaurant, café, hotel, or food retail)

  • Experience managing or supporting customer and trade relationships (retail and/or HoReCa)

  • Strong understanding of hospitality operations — including purchasing, service standards, and stock control

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Full, clean driving licence and own vehicle

Preferred

  • Kitchen experience

  • Experience with tastings, in-store demos, or sales activations

  • Familiarity with retail systems and foodservice sales cycles

  • Comfortable with spreadsheets, email, and shared file systems

A Plus

  • Experience supporting multi-site or group operations

  • Interest in Irish seafood, sustainability, and independent food systems

What You’ll Get

  • Exposure to retail, foodservice, production, events, and consultancy

  • The opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and contribute meaningfully to business growth

  • A supportive, fast-paced, food-loving team

  • Clear progression potential into senior operational or commercial roles

  • Salary DOE
