MAMÓ

Harbour House, Harbour Road, Howth, Co. Dublin
The food: Modern Irish, Seafood

Mamó was the most anticipated opening in Howth in recent memory (and one of the most generally of 2019), and with owners Jess D’Arcy and Killian Durkin’s CVs including Etto, Chapter One and Thornton’s expectations were high. Thankfully they were met, and Mamo's cod chips, by-catch ceviche and Howth honey tart seemed to have charmed everyone who’s walked through the door.

CRITIC REVIEWS

Lucinda O'Sullivan, Sunday Independent

"Mamo's nod to fish & chips, the 'cod chip' ... consisted of three smart and tasty confit potato fingers fried in clarified butter and rosemary; each one topped with piped taramasalata. I'd cross Dublin Bay for them alone."

Tom Doorley, The Irish Daily Mail

"This was an excellent meal but I can't help thinking that the kitchen is carefully getting into its stride, content to produce simply very good cooking."

Catherine Cleary, The Irish Times

"Mamó is a breath of fresh sea air, a delicious alliance of place and people ... Go indulge." 9/10.
