Where to eat in November
A new opening we're bursting to tell you more about; a Christmas set menu we'd actually go out in December for; and is it possible that the best tacos in Europe are in Dublin!? Here's where's at the top of our must visit notepad this month...

For the most exciting opening of Winter 2026:
Hey Annie, Suffolk Street
Hey Annie is the third opening from Featherblade and Mister S owners Jamie O'Toole and Paul McVeigh, and considering Mister S remains one of the hardest to get reservations in the city SEVEN YEARS after opening, we're expecting much of the same from baby number 3. Expect more open fire cooking, very luxe ingredients, and some elements that are going to come as a BIG surprise. We're working on ATF Insider access to a special soft launch as we type. Make sure you're signed up to ATF Insiders to hear more.
For an unmissable Japanese collab:
The Nomo x Matsukawa pop up
How do you improve two of Dublin's top Japanese eating experiences? You mash them together, obvs... Nomo Ramen are joining up with Smithfield sushi specialists Matsukawa for a three day collab at their Charlotte Way noodle shop. From Friday 6th - Sunday 8th November you'll be able to get a taster of Matsukawa's waygu beef and inari sushi, alongside Nomo's OG, Yuzu Shoyu and San Diego bowls. It's walk in only with limited amounts each night, so don't complain if you show up late and the Wagyu's gone walking.
For a Sunday roast with Filippino flavour
Kaldero, St Stephen's Green
Kaldero have been months testing brand new dishes and flavour combos for their new lunch menu and Sunday roast, and it's safe to say there's nothing else like this in Dublin right now. If a piece of sirloin, spuds and carrots isn't doing it for you, how does free-range pork belly with lemongrass, or a whole free range chicken with kalamansi sound? They say it's about dishes that remind them of home, with family recipes, neighbourhood specialities and childhood favourites, like chef Richie Castillo's granmother's pancit molo, which is similar to wonton soup with more garlic and patis (Filipino fish sauce). Anyone else get a sudden wave of hunger?
For an early bird worth worth booking in before 7pm:
Tábla, Mount Merrion
It's rare that an early bird menu gets us excited to lock in a table. Boring, high margin dishes and supplements on all the nicest looking plates are the two main offenders, but Tábla in Mount Merrion are doing it different. The dishes are regularly changing French bistro classics from the regular à la carte, and if you add up the individual prices there's a serious saving to be made (the fish alone could be €29 outside early bird times). The best bit is it's available Friday and Saturday night, AND there's no supplement for steak when it's on. Get two courses for €30 or three for €35 from Thursday to Sunday, 17:00 - 19:00. (Read our review here.)

For finding out if you prefer goose to turkey:
Sister 7, Smithfield
While we're not usually advocates for Christmas set menus, Sister 7 in Smithfield get a pass for this year's totally original, typically great value €55 Xmas group menu. It's available for all tables of four +, and compulsory for groups of six +, and with 11 dishes to share plus dessert, it's a perfect way to get fed without the wrecked head. With goose, pork and morel siu mai; goose cigar spring rolls; and West Cork waygu skewers, they are not phoning this one in either. Get it Tuesday to Sunday nights until the big man comes.
For possibly the best tacos in Europe:
Tacos Lupillo
When Mexican Tiktok influencer @thetacofiend (with almost one million followers) started a global taco tour, who would have predicted that he'd name Inchicore's Taco Lupillo the BEST TACOS IN EUROPE. Just his opinion of course, but we dare you to watch his reactions as he tries their barbacoa, al pastor and chorizo tacos and not immediately plan the quickest route to Dublin 8. Find them in Tallaght and at Hyne's pub in Stoneybatter as well as the Inchicore original.
For North Dublin's new wine bar:
Browne's, Portmarnock
What was local café Little Green up until a few weeks ago is new wine bar, restaurant and café Brown's, and while the food menu might not be reinventing the wheel, the wine list is as serious (and extensive) as it gets. Owner Oliver Brown was most recently the sommelier at Michelin-starred The Morrison Room in Carton House, before that at Cooper's Wine Bar, and it seems like he's built up quite the fine wine collection that he's now looking to share with Portmarnock locals. Their upcoming 1982 Bordeaux wine dinner at €385 a pop is an interesting way to test the local market.
